Support structure

  • The Statutes of the CTA foresee the existence of a National Business Council (CEN) established by former Presidents of the CTA’s Board, representatives of the Provincial Business Councils, business representatives and civil society’ representatives of recognized merit and interest in the problems of private sector’s associations and development of the country.

  • The Regional Offices in the North, Centre and South ensure that issues and views presented by all regions of Mozambique are represented in the decisions and positions of the CTA regarding policies related to economy.

  • At the provincial level, the Business Councils aim to share views with the Government of the Province, the local authorities and other public and private entities, to remove barriers and thus to develop local business activities.

  • The Ombudsman protects corporate rights in order to defend entrepreneurs against the violation of their rights, abuse of power, negligence and unjust decisions undertaken by the government, contributing to a better environment and making more transparent the administrative actions of the Government.
