Institutional Relations

Participation of the CTA in governement boards and councils.

Based on the strength of its status and on the importance of dialogue for the reform of the private sector, the CTA has established a broad network of institutional links. The network is partly international, but particularly deals with important national institutions.

That gives the CTA the potential to enter the private sector at the institutional level and to influence it. It is a very valuable asset to the dialogue on reforms and favours monitoring as a means of ensuring effective implementation. The CTA is to appoint representatives of the private sector to participate in discussions with the Government, to coordinate the regulation of specific processes or to implement legislation.

The representatives are in the following entities:

  • ANE (National Administration of Roads);
  • BVM (Stock Exchange of Mozambique);
  • CCT (Consultative Commission for Labour);
  • Challenge Found;
  • COREP (Committee on Reform of Vocational Education);
  • CSTA (Technical Board of Customs);
  • FARE (Reabilitation Fund);
  • Mining Fund;
  • G20;
  • INATUR (National Institute of Tourism);
  • INSS (National Social Security Institute);
  • IPEME (Institute for Promotion of Small and Medium Businesses);
  • MCA (Millenium Challenge Account);
