Regional offices

Organization and operation

There are three regional branches, corresponding to each geographic region of the country: North; Centre; South.

The regional offices are under the responsibility of a Regional Vice President of CTA who lives in the capital of the region or of any other business leader who is appointed by the Board for that purpose.

The regional offices obey to the principle of dual subordination, first to the Vice-President or the business leader appointed for this purpose and then to the Executive Committee of the CTA for their operational, thematic and financial effects.

The Vice-President or the nominated responsible for the regional office ensures that it works in accordance with the Annual Plan of Activities and interacts with private sector representatives from all provinces and districts in its geographical region.

Responsability of the regional offices

Concretely, the regional offices are responsible for:

  • Supporting and interacting with all member associations of the CTA and other private sector representatives in their geographic region.
  • Developping and implementing the annual business plan taking into account the decisions of CASP's and the main themes of the CTA.
  • Following up the implementation of the matrices approved during the CASP's at the province and district levels, that make up the geographic region.
  • Collecting, processing and analyzing relevant information to allow the Board to make decisions relevant to the three regions of the country.
  • Receiving and supporting specialists / consultants who are hired to undertake studies or researches related to CTA’s issues in their geographic region.
  • Ensuring that the opinions and viewpoints of associations and other private sector representatives from each geographical region come to the Board.
  • Maintaining communication and regular contact between the associations of their geographic region, the Executive Committee and the CTA’s Board.
